Center for Internal Change, Inc. is the realization of a goal John C Goodman, MSOD, LCSW set for himself back in 1990 After over 12 years in the financial world he decided to leave the brokerage business and return to school for a Masters Degree in order to become a psychotherapist. In 1993 John received a Master in Social Work from Loyola University with a focus on human behavior and human development. While working with clients John discovered that many of his clients wanted more than psychotherapy and counseling. He also realized that he was getting his best results with clients by reducing their dependence on the therapist and by focusing on achieving client self-empowerment. In 1995 he started his own practice Center for Internal Change, Inc. and in addition to continuing in his role as a Psychotherapist he also began coaching certain clients (Coach vs. Therapist). Although John works with most clients himself, he maintains a pool of talented, qualified colleagues when appropriate.

Center for Internal Change, Inc. is again a Top Award Winning Distributor for Inscape Publishing, creator of the DiSC Classic Personal Profile System 2800 Series, a dimensions of behavior tool, assessments and personality test for coaching, teambuilding, sales management, selling skills. Inscape Publishing, formerly Carlson Learning Products has been instrumental in the research and development of instrument based learning profiles, tests, facilitator kits and manuals to train the trainer.
